• Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) Rebate Application

  • Before beginning your rebate application:

    • review CMLP's HPWH rebate requirements here: www.concordma.gov/2024/Heat-Pump-Water-Heaters 
    • know the fuel source and tank size of your previous water heater
    • know the tank size of your new HPWH
    • know the Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of your new HPWH.  Unsure?  Find it here: www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-water-heaters/results
    • know the date of the Concord Building Department's electrical inspection approval for the installation.
    • have electronic copies of the following documents ready to upload:
      • invoice from a licensed plumber
      • HPWH sales receipt (if plumber's invoiced amount is lower than CMLP's rebate)
      • IRS W-9 form (only for CMLP commercial customers requesting a rebate of $600 or more in the form of a check)

    CMLP's 90-day rebate application window begins on the Concord Building Department's electrical inspection approval date.

    Commercial customers are eligible for 5 HPWH rebates per calendar year.

  • CMLP rebates $185 for each HPWH replacing an electric resistance water heater and 

    $750 for each HPWH replacing a fossil fuel water heater or for new construction.

     

    Residential customers are eligible for a maximum of 1 HPWH rebate every 12 months.

    Commerical customers are eligible for a maximum of 5 HPWHs rebates every 12 months.
