Customers of CMLP who heated, or still heat, their home primarily with natural gas are eligible for Mass Save's air-source heat pump rebates. CMLP does not offer rebates to these customers. Please refer to the Mass Save heat pump rebate webpage here, and assist your customer with applying for the applicable Mass Save rebate. The Mass Save program does not require a pre-install or post-install approval.

If this project uses supplemental electric heat (electric resistance units/baseboards, existing heat pumps and/or ETS) in rooms other than bathrooms, the project is eligible for a whole home rebate only if the supplemental electric heat provides no more than 10% of the home's total heat load.

Auxiliary electric resistance strips built into the heat pump itself or non-electric heating systems are allowed for emergency use but not supplemental heat in whole home heat pump projects. Emergencies are heat pump maintenance/repair downtime or if the heat pump is unable to heat the home during an extreme weather event.

Please Note: The project electrician must obtain an electrical permit online prior to installation, and schedule an inspection by the Town's electrical inspector after the work is complete. If the project requires sheet metal ducting work that goes beyond minor repairs, a sheet metal permit must have been obtained, and an inspection scheduled. The project must pass all relevant inspections before this Install QA form can be submitted. Enter the relevant inspection approval dates below. CMLP requires that partial-home systems include integrated controls in most cases. The controls must be on the Mass Save HPQPL. Please confirm that you have installed integrated controls and listed the integrated controls' model number on your invoice if they are required.*
